This collection is a story of transformation. A transformation of personality of a young woman under social standards.Every outfit represents a fixed social type with one-point perspective like in Italian Commedia dell’arte. That explains the contrast between looks: the bright line of violet floral embroidery, flowing flower white dresses with frills and puff sleeves contrary the dark line of sinister, heavy full-skirted gowns with stone cross embroideries, black lace and laconic cuts. At the same time, this collection is a continuation of the brand’s style – Victorian silhouettes, volume taffeta gowns and a lot of hand work. All outfits completed by jewelry facial masks, accessories and footwear with hand embroidery.
Creators StoryMoral Standards, founded by Olga Ochkas in 2018, is a combination of historic volumes, bizarre shapes, Victorian motives and modern silhouettes. The brand is guided by high quality craftsmanship, the careful selection of fabrics and a close attention to finishing. The brand reaches into commentary employing meaningful embroidery and ironic prints pointing to a narrative. Every garment piece is a part of character; an exaggerated mocking depiction of personality. The name opens a question – what is your moral standard and how does it influence your life?
